Kausani, a beautiful village in Uttarakhand state in northen india also known as the switzerland of india.Kausani is situated at an altitude of 1890 meters from sea level and 40 kms from Bageshwar city. It is famous for its fabulous panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli. Mahatma Gandhi once visited this place and he called it the "Switzerland of India" just because the picturesque views of Kausani. The snow-covered hills are very attractive to the tourists and thrill to the mind.

Baijnath Temple

Baijnath temple is and ancient temple which have been recognized as Monuments of National Importance by the Archaeological Survey of India. This temple is situated on the banks of the river Gomati which is built by the Kumaon Katyuri king in around 1150 A.D. it is around 20 kms from the Bageshwar city.
